Have you or your agency been helping in your local community during these challenging times? We would love to spread the good work that you are doing in your area, down below!

Please submit stories and/or photos of your good deeds to Katie Cole at katie@nhaia.com with the subject line "Good Deeds," and let's start spreading some good news!

Let's keep lifting each other up in our local communities!

From Deb at Cross Agency in Meredith, NH!

"I would like to have one of our employees, Nicole Brunt, Personal Lines Agent for Cross Ins. in Meredith, be recognized for her son's contribution to the Meredith Food Pantry.  He wanted to donate his $20 cash he earned doing chores to the Meredith Food Pantry to help others less fortunate.  His parents matched the $20 donation and together they bought $40 worth of food for the pantry.  When Nicole posted this on Facebook, it exploded and became an instant success.

He was featured on WMUR, twice.  First for raising $850, the second time he had raised over $1,600.  The final tally this week was over $3,000.  They presented a check to the Meredith Food Pantry for $2,150 and purchased groceries with the remaining money.  This 10 year old became quite a celebrity.  He wanted to help others in need. Cross Insurance is contributing $500 and MMG Insurance has offered a $500 donation too.

Congratulations to the Brunt family.  A valuable lesson learned from a 10 year old!"

From Mike at Foy Agency in Exeter, NH!

"Congratulations! Out of 1,850 nominations nationwide, NH Food Bank has been chosen for a $10,000 emergency community support grant from Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance!

The donation will be made on behalf of Foy Insurance Group, who submitted the nomination. We hope that it can ease some of the financial burden brought on during this difficult time."

From Norma at Virtual Insurance Professionals in Manchester, NH!

"I have made cloth masks for the Concord Visiting Nurse Assn, and for employees of essential businesses still operating.  Because I am Irish, I started by using material from my St Patrick's Day "stash."  As others may have, I gave my family members masks in their Easter Baskets as many are working - in IT, Health Care, Education  - themes were:  BBQ  and Strawberries will happen!!"

From Judy at Barrett Insurance Inc. in Hooksett, NH!

"In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, Barrett Insurance and Hooksett Kiwanis have come together to honor four Hooksett Daycare Centers which have remained open during the Pandemic to support essential/medical workers and care for their children.

In each basket, we have provided care bags for each of the staff and other items for the center such as thank-you cards, baby wipes, plant decor, and free lunch delivery from a local restaurant. Items for the staff include various snacks, water, Dunkin Donuts gift cards, hand sanitizer, face masks, a notepad, pens, flashlight keychain and pop sockets for mobile phones.

To support local business's during [this time], we're [also] giving away $25 gift cards to New England Tap House Grille."

"Matt & Judy Barrett donated baskets of encouragement for the maintenance, housekeeping and laundry departments at Hillsborough County Nursing Home filled with gift cards for local restaurants and snalc to keep them going during this trying time, and a message of Thanks for all the hard work they are doing!"
